#IMPERIUM UNIVERSALIS MOD HOW TO CHECK FOOD MOD#
Well the mod seems to go along with the contemporary context of representation, so I'd expect the Roman's to be Romaioi or something then. I know a devout Pagan that holds very closely to the Norse gods, and if I said the word Norse to him he'd understand what I meant normally of course. Not to be rude, but just because you hail from the region, doesn't mean you're entitled to privileged information. Germanic is a word that can mean multiple contexts, moreso than Norse, that what if the Belgae, or in general any mixed Celt-Germanic culture from around the Rhine or Lowlands believes in the Norse gods Thor? Its just superior to use the word Norse, as everyone does to represent that pantheon of gods. When I see Germanic, I think its still on the Cultural tab, instead of the Religious tab. If anything, some people aren't as familiar with the word "Olympioi" than they're with Norse. People associate the gods of Fenrir, Tyr, etc with the word Norse than "Germanic". From what we know, they shared the same gods, or focused on some in particular, like any other polytheistic ethnic religion's practitioners back then. These included the curule aedile, the praetor, the censor, the consul, the magister equitum, and the dictator.Ī subset of what? "Norse" represents essentially everyones religious affiliation from Germany proper, to Scandinavia. Individuals given such power were referred to as curule magistrates or promagistrates. Primarily used to refer to the power that is wielded, in greater or lesser degree, by an individual to whom it is delegated, the term could also be used with a geographical connotation, designating the territorial limits of that imperium. It is not to be confused with auctoritas or potestas, different and generally inferior types of power in the Roman Republic and Empire.
Imperium referred to the ability of an individual to command the military. In ancient Rome, different kinds of power or authority were distinguished by different terms.
Imperium is a Latin word which, in a broad sense, translates roughly as 'power to command'. The geographical reach of this authority was also defined as Imperium. Imperium in ancient Rome was a word used for someone who holds absolute authority, mostly in the sense of "power of command" (an army).
